Two Days/One Night in the Heart of the Irish Catskills
Gavin’s, nestled in the beautiful Irish Catskills of NY, is a family owned and operated property that provides guests the very best in home-away-from-home hospitality! While at this resort you will be awed by the beautiful landscaping, majestic mountains, the “neat as pin” rooms, great entertainment and unbelievable hospitality. And be sure to bring your appetite – Gavin’s is known for its hearty meals, serving up old style American food where seconds and thirds abound. You’ll never walk away hungry, especially once you get a taste of their famous Irish Soda Bread. Dress is casual throughout our stay so you’ll always feel right at home.
Day One:
We depart early this morning with arrival at Gavin’s Golden Hill Resort at approximately Noon for our welcome luncheon. After our luncheon we depart the property for local touring. This afternoon we’ll enjoy a visit to Lawyers General Store and a visit to Our Lady of Knock Shrine as well as time at the Inn for some Scheduled Activities, Games, and Prizes. Enjoy a Late Afternoon Cocktail Party where each traveler receives a Complimentary glass of beer or wine. We round out our day with dinner off the menu and entertainment in the lounge.
Day Two:
Wake up this morning and enjoy a Hearty All American Breakfast. Then we board our coach heading to Hyde Park, New York where we will enjoy a visit and tour of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Home. From there its on to the famous American Culinary Institute, America’s Premiere Cooking Institute for an exquisite luncheon at one of their five premier restaurants. We will also be taking a guided tour with time to enjoy the Institute’s very special bakery and the Culinary Bookstore with many books & cooking items. We depart this afternoon with supper on our own en-route home.

Price includes: One night’s lodging at Gavin’s Country Inn, Services of a Best of Times Tour Director throughout the trip, Four meals (2 Lunches, 1 Breakfast, 1 Dinner), Admissions for Tours of FDR’s Home & The Culinary Institute, Evening Entertainment, Luggage Handling and all tax and gratuities with the exception of the motorcoach driver and tour guide.
