Through the years Newport has made a name for itself in a variety of manners, first as a colony founded on religious freedom, later as the summer playground for the American socialite families with names like Astor and Vanderbilt, as a key location for the United States Navy, and then as the yachting capital of the world. Best of Times invites you to experience this “City by the Sea” through one of the following customized tours featuring opulent ocean side mansions, historic sites, lighthouses and more. All Newport RI Programs Include: Transportation via motorcoach, Lunch on our own at Famous Bowen’s Wharf, Best of Times Tour Director, and Touring per itinerary. Driver and Tour Director Gratuities are Not Included. All programs contain a certain degree of walking. Dining In Newport. Best of Times can include a special lunch at La Forge Casino Restaurant and Crowley’s Pub in conjunction with any of our tours. Our 4 course meal choices include items such as Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, Scallops and Rock Shrimp, Chicken Florentine, Filet of Salmon, Stuffed Scrod, Cheese Cake, Apple Pie and more.
