DAY 1, DEPART USA
Board your overnight flight to Prague, Czech Republic.
DAY 2, ARRIVE IN PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
Arrive
in Prague an ancient European city renowned for its beauty and unique wealth
of historical sights, the capital of the Czech Republic. The town originally
founded in the 10th century on the banks of the Vltava River is often called,
golden, or, hundred-spired. Our accommodations are at the 5 Star Hotel President
in the Old Town of Prague overlooking Prague Castle and Vltava River. Enjoy
a walking tour of the Old Town of Prague passing the Old Town Square with
the famous astronomical clock, fashionable Paris Street, the former Jewish
Ghetto of Prague with the Jewish cemetary and several Jewish synagogues
and the historical Charles Bridge overlooking the panorama of the Prague
Castle. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner at a Bohemian restaurant in the Old
Town of Prague with a historical wine-cellar. (D)
DAY 3, PRAGUE
Enjoy
a halfday sightseeing tour of Prague including orientation city tour and
visit to the Prague Castle with magnificant St. Vitus Cathedral, picturesque
Golden Lane, Gothic Vladislav Hall and St. George´s Basilica, ending
your tour in the Old Town of Prague. The afternoon will be at our leisure
to enjoy the sights at our own pace. (B,D)
DAY 4, PRAGUE
Today
we journey to Kutna Hora, the royal mining town and a gem of Gothic architecture.
Kutná Hora, after Prague is the second most important town in the
Kingdom of Bohemia. In the Middle Ages it owed much of its wealth and fame
to silver mining, which experienced its greatest boom in the second half
of the 13th century and became the mainstay of life in the town. The Church
of St. Barbara, patron saint of miners, is a jewel in the crown of Gothic
architecture the world over. We return to Prague mid-afternoon with the
rest of the day at leisure. This evening enjoy a 2-hour cruise on the Vltava
River with buffet-dinner. (B,D)
DAY 5, PRAGUE - PLZEN - NUREMBERG, GERMANY
Depart from Prague after breakfast. In route to Nuremberg we visit Plzen,
the metropolis of Western Bohemia and famous for its famous Pilsner Urquell
Beer. We will take a Pilsner Urquel Brewery tour and have a Bohemian lunch
at the Brewery Restaurant. Tonight, join fellow passengers for a Gala Welcome
Dinner. The ship will moor overnight in Nuremberg. (B,L,D)
DAY 6, NUREMBERG - CROSSING THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE - DIETFURT
Enjoy a guided morning tour of this historic city with its fabulous Gothic
churches and elegantly impressive walls. See the storybook 900-year-old
ramparts that surround the city, the Imperial Castle and the Justice Palace
where the War Crimes Tribunal sat in 1946. At lunchtime, rejoin the ship
further along the Main-Danube Canal and continue to the highest point of
your cruise - 1,332 feet above sea level before descending through stair-step
locks to the charming Bavarian town of Dietfurt. (B,L,D)
DAY 7, REGENSBURG
This morning's scenic cruising takes you through the final stretch of the
Main-Danube Canal to arrive in magnificent Regensburg, one of Germany's
best preserved medieval cities. A guided tour will show you the city's architectural
highlights, including the Old Town Hall and the Porta Pretoria - gates to
a Roman fort which was built in 179 AD. Marvel at beautiful churches and
one of the oldest bridges crossing the Danube. The rest of the afternoon
is free for exploring, or to join the optional excursion to beautiful Weltenburg
Abbey in the Danube Gorge. In the evening enjoy a musical performance onboard.

DAY 8, PASSAU - PASSUA - SALZBURG - LINZ, AUSTRIA
After
breakfast we depart for Salzburg, birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
and the location of the Sound of Music. During your walking tour see Mozart's
childhood home. The tour also includes a stop in Mondsee to see the wedding
church from The Sound of Music and a scenic drive through the Austrian Lake
district. After dinner, take a walk through Linz, Austria's third largest
city and a major river port. (B,L,D)
DAY 9, MELK - VIENNA
Cruise through the narrow Strudengau and reach the Wachau Valley early this
morning. Your guided tour takes you to Melk's magnificent Benedictine Abbey.
Return to the ship for lunch as you cruise the romantic Wachau Valley. Arrive
in Vienna, the "City of Music" before dinner. Explore the magnificent
Austrian capital on your own, or participate in the optional Mozart and
Strauss concert. (B,L,D)
DAY 10, VIENNA
See the Imperial Hofburg Palace, the Vienna Opera House, Ringstrasse, and
awe-inspiring St. Stephen's Cathedral and visit the National Library on
your guided tour. Then, enjoy a free afternoon to shop, explore or visit
one of the cities many museums or palaces. Enjoy dinner as you continue
your journey past Slovakia and cruise overnight to Budapest, Hungary's vibrant

DAY 11, BUDAPEST, HUNGARY
Your morning is at your leisure for shopping or sightseeing. After lunch,
your guided city tour includes Buda and Pest. From historic Buda Castle
you will enjoy a splendid view of the twin cities spread over both banks
of the River. Your tour also features the distinctive Fisherman's Bastion,
the marvelous Royal Palace, St. Stephen's Basilica, and much more. Say farewell
to your newfound friends at tonight's Gala Farewell Dinner. (B,L,D)
DAY 12, DEPART BUDAPEST
Your fascinating cruise comes to an end as you transfer to the airport for
your onward flight. (B)
