Day 2: Barcelona, Spain - Catalonia’s capital shines like a polished jewel. A cornucopia of architectural highlights line broad, tree-lined boulevards. Enticing seafood restaurants embellish a well-groomed port. Half a millennia separate Barcelona’s two great cathedrals, the massive Gothic structure in the Bari Gotic and Gaudi’s stunning and still unfinished Sagrada Familia. Or drive down the Paseig de Gracia with its fantasy architecture, shops and colorful street scenes. Upon arrival in Barcelona we board our luxury motorcoach for a fantastic tour that includes time at the Sagrada Familia and Mont Juic. This afternoon we board the Norwegian GEM.

Day 3: At Sea - Take time today to relax and enjoy all of the amenities this floating palace offers us. With three swimming pools, spa, thirteen bars & lounges, casino and much more our day will be filled with fun and relaxation.

Day 4: Valletta, Malta - Malta’s capital and a World Heritage site, is nothing short of an open-air museum. It is a living experience of Baroque architecture, a monument donated by the Knights of St John nearly five centuries ago. Dotted with quaint cafés and wine bars, the city is today one of Malta’s main tourist attractions, hosting among others, the majestic St John’s Co-Cathedral, the imposing bastions and a treasure of priceless paintings. It also provides a stunning snapshot of Malta’s Grand Harbour, often described as the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

Day 5: Naples, Italy - Naples is the perfect jumping off point for the jewels of the Amalfi Coast. Take a jetfoil ride to the cliffs of Capri, where you can float into the Blue Grotto or ascend to Anacapri to drink in the view. Tour eerie Pompeii in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius. Wind along the Amalfi Drive through a resort-dotted dreamscape. The vistas are worth every hairpin turn.

Day 6: Rome, Italy - Rome, the city that was founded - or so legend holds - by twin brothers raised by a wolf. First-timers will want to join our tour of the Colosseum, St. Peter’s Basilica and Vatican City. Others might enjoy lunch amid the splendor of Piazza Navona, shopping on the fashionable Via Condotti or strolling the city squares with their magnificent fountains.

Rome, Italy

Day 7: Florence/Pisa, Italy - The Renaissance treasures of Florence belong to the world. Don’t miss the Duomo’s magnificent baptistery doors, and the Uffizi Gallery’s collection of artistic masterworks. Nearby is Siena, showplace of Italian Gothic; and Pisa, with its famous Leaning Tower.

Day 8: Villefranche (Nice), France - Nice, France’s second-largest city and a dignified queen of the French Riviera is a spot not to be missed. From the rich blue-green sea, diverse shopping, splendid dining and lovely art-deco façades there is so much to see. There are several spots that a tourist simply must see, such as the Cours Saleya Flower Market, ancient Roman ruins, the Russion Cathedral and more. Excursions will also be available to Monte Carlo and be sure to take in the spectacle of the plunging cliff-side scenery on your way there.

Day 9: After breakfast this morning we depart for the airport and continue back home with incredible memories from this magnificent journey.
